Squash Phone

No, it's not a game. Jake and I went to the farmers market the other day and we bought this big yellow squash for .75 cents. I'm walking around holding Jake's hand when he starts talking to me... so I thought. When I turned my head he was actually talking into the squash. I couldn't help but laugh so hard. I'm sure everybody at the farmers market thought he was nuts.

Our new place...

Yes, this is what Jake has named our "Joseph Smith" house. The picture does not make it look any smaller than it really is. It's cozy and quaint and has the one thing we were really looking for.... a yard!



I don't know if it's a coincidence, but once we started noticing the deer in our yard, all of the tomatoes on our plants disappeared. We actually think it was the birds.... I guess we'll have to get some chicken wire for our garden next year. They should just call it magpie wire.

Lately everyone at work has been telling me that I'm the long lost twin of Sarah Palin. I don't see the resemblance but I'll let you be the judge.
